How Can We Help?

Domain Deployment

INSTALLING HOST COMPUTERS IN A DOMAIN

1. Deployment installation – (add a password, or deploy to multiple systems  in  a domain)

installdeploy

The only difference in a Host deployment download and a regular Command Center download is that a deployment file can install silently with no screen feedback, so it can be used with a free application like PDQdeploy to install RemoteToPC on multiple computers at once within a domain environment. You can also preload an access password with a deployment.

From the Deployments option in Command Center, click “Add Deployment”. Type in a name that you wish to identify the deployment with, along with the date you wish the deployment to expire, and select “Save Deploy”. Then select the Deployment link you created and a link URL will appear.

silentdeploy

Copy and paste the link into a browser window, and download the deployment file

Preload an access password in your deployment download

To build an installer with a default password already loaded in it simply add “&pass=password” to the end of the link. So your link should look similar to this: http://remotetopc.com/deployments/?deployid=15&token=9N9wnDNT&pass=password

Substitute your own default password for the word “password”.

Note: This last option creates a silent install with no screen feedback, and can therefore be used in an automated deployment on several host computers at once with tools such as the free version of PDQ Deploy. You can not install on multiple systems at once without adding an access password of some sort.

note: We are in no way associated with the makers of PDQ Deploy. We just love thier free product.
